![]() ![]() Therefore, there are various compromises were taken by translators to bridge the complexity between both target and source language structures. The Sundanese translators generally difficult to use the structure of target language, because it is bounded by their loyalties to the source language. The translations of the Quran in Sundanese, unlike the Bible translations in Christianity, tend to be fettered by the structure of source language. The most complicated is translation in the form of Sundanese metrical verse or dangding. I confirm that the translation of the Quran in Sundanese has limitations and barriers,such as thechange of lexical, word types and unit of semantic and structure of sentences. ![]() This study shows that there is a similar structure of Sundanese language in the midst of variations of the translation of the Quran. I use eleven translations of the Quranic Sundanese as the main object. This study focuses on the problem of differences, uniqueness and limitations of Sundanese as the target language in accommodating Arabic Quran, using the linguistic approach to translation. There is no target language can fully represent the source language. Meanwhile, pupujian or nadoman is a Islamic hymn which sung at pesantren and mosque Guguritan can be sung to the accompaniment of kacapi and Sundanese flute. These are Sundanese local poetries that used as lyrics of Sundanese tembang or religious hymn. The paper aims to analyze both Sundanese poetries of guguritan and pupujian which used as rules of translation of the Qur'an. ![]() Sebuah upaya bagaimana orang Sunda menegosiasikan ekspresi estetiknya tentang kitab suci dengan menyerap sekaligus mempengaruhi sastra Islam ke dalam atau melalui sastra Sunda. Kajian ini signifikan tidak saja menunjukkan resepsi orang Sunda terhadap Al-Qur'an dan sastra Arab, tetapi juga memperlihatkan komitmen orang Sunda terhadap Islam dan sastra Sunda. Terjemahnya tidak terlalu taat pada bahasa sumber, karena mengutamakan kaidah puisi dan pencapaian makna. Dengan menggunakan kajian interteks dan analisis terjemah, kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjemah puitis guguritan dan pupujian lebih kompleks dibanding terjemah puitis lain, karena sangat terikat oleh aturan metrum sehingga cenderung mengarah pada terjemah tafsīriyyah. Terdapat sedikitnya dua karya guguritan dan tiga karya pupujian Al-Qur'an. Sedang pupujian atau nadoman merupakan nyanyian puji-pujian di pesantren dan masjid-masjid saat menunggu waktu salat. Guguritan dinyanyikan dengan diiringi kacapi-suling. Keduanya merupakan puisi lokal yang dijadikan lirik tembang atau nyanyian. Kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis puisi guguritan dan pupujian Sunda yang digunakan sebagai pola terjemah Al-Qur'an. ![]()
